Debbie’s Circle Challenge Block

Do you need something fun to sew today?

Deb won the challenge block quilt suggested by Icy Mae.  Now it is Debbie’s turn to suggest the block.  Deb provided us with One white on white square, one white on white circle, and two foundation circles.  Our job for this challenge is to use our own fabric for a background and circle and make two blocks.

The above photo is an example of two completed blocks.  Blocks need to be returned to Deb by the business meeting on October 25, 2016.

Here’s a picture of what Deb provided:

Debbie’s instructions:

Cut a circle and a 12.5″ square from your own fabric.

With right sides together, stitch a solid white circle and the white on white circle together (and the circle with your own fabric and the solid white circle.)

Cut a whole in the center of the solid white circle.

Turn right side out.  Press.  Fold in quarters and press.

Fold 12.5″ squares in quarters and press.

Line up centers.

Stitch circles to squares with straight stitch.
