Bonnie Hunter’s Pinwheel Fancy

Welcome to Scrappy Saturday.  Today we are taking a look at a quilt made by Bonnie Hunter called Pinwheel Fancy.  Bonnie showed our group her version of Pinwheel Fancy at the 2017 Spring Tea and Trunk Show.  The blue/neutral blocks are the Pinwheel Fancy blocks.  The inspiration for the alternating block Bonnie found on an antique quilt in an antique mall.  Blocks are set on point in this quilt.

The Pinwheel Fancy block appeared in the January/February 2015 edition of Quiltmaker Magazine in Bonnie’s Addicted to Scraps column.  The full pattern can be found in Bonnie’s latest’s book, Addicted to Scraps.

Here’s half of Pinwheel Fancy with legs… LOL.
